A redneck was stopped by a game warden in Central Mississippi recently with two ice chests full of fish.


He was leavin' a cove well-known for its fishing. The game warden asked the man, 'Do you have a license to catch those fish?'

'Naw, sir', replied the redneck. 'I ain't got no fishin' license. But you gotta understand something: these fish here are my pet fish.'

'Pet fish?'

'Yeah. Every night, I takes these fish down to the lake and let 'em swim 'round for awhile. Then, when I whistle, they jumps right back into the ice chests here and I takes 'em home.'

The redneck looked at the game warden intently for a moment and then said, 'I swear it's the truth, Mr. Government Man. I'll show ya. It really works.'

'O.K.,' said the warden. 'I've got to see this shit!'

The redneck poured the fish into the lake and stood and waited. After several minutes, the warden said, 'Well?'

Well, what?' asked the redneck.

The warden asked, 'When are you going to call them back?'

'Call who back?'

'The FISH!' yelled the warden!

'What fish?' asked the redneck.

Moral of the story: We may not all be as smart as some city slickers, but
we ain't all as dumb as some government employees.

You can say what you want to about the South, but you ain't never heard of anyone retiring and moving up North.

Three ole boy's was fishing below a dam on a river near home (des were only half-assed coon-ass boys since dey lived in NORTH Louisiana) when one of 'em spotted a Game Warden coming down the hill right at them. One of the boys hollered real loud and took off running just as fast as he had to. The Game Warden seen the boy take off and took out after him running just as fast as he could go. Well the half-assed coon-ass knew he was in for a time but figured he would not have any problem staying out in front of that Warden so he just keep going and going and going. He ran thru all the thickets and briar patches he could find and really run that Game Warden in to the ground for 3 or 2 mile. After awhile he figured he had run far enough so he stopped and let the Game Warden catch up to him. After the Game Warden finally caught his breath and got his heart rate down he said "BOY YOU IN TROUBLE NOW AND YOU BETTER SHOW ME YOUR FISHING LICENSE". Well, the ole boy reached into the top of his bib overall's and pulled out his fishing license and handed it over to the Warden. The Warden look at it then looked up at the ole boy and said "Son, you fishing legal with this here fishing licence so why did you take off running like you did". To which the ole boy replied, " yep I got me a fishing license al'right but my 2 partners ain't got one!
