the assiniboine river opedn up last month below the dam and and down river but not fully, above the dam is still there but is getting to the point that it will break and give. excellent channel cats.

I cought 15"-17" burbots in early spring cut'em up in 2"-3" cutbaits, cought channels and burbots with leopard frogs, they were the hot ticket around here, the boyz aruond Winnipeg on the red of the north usually use goldeye, mooneye. I use a sliding rig with a 2 oz. no-roll weight. Line is Big Game Berkley mono, 25-30lb test, well talk to yall later.
