| Cactus Bob, we had a pretty good weekend, we caught several but no bigguns,, i caught the biggest one at about 15 lbs with the smallest about 8 lbs,, friend of ours Garry had a dang good bite,, his pole slapped the water with fury and then popped back up before he had the chance to grab the rod,, I seen it happen and hollered at him to grab the rod,but it was too late , we mainly fished in 40 to 60 feet water above those 100+ feet holes,, we had a dang good time, lots of bites and action! | |

| Good fish, Flat Tater. A good rule of thumb in guessing a fish's weight is to guess a little on the heavy side then add about 8 to 10 pounds. If no one is with you then you could add up to 15 pounds. I learned this from a famous catter up in the G'ville area. He swears he can guess the weight of any fish to within 20 pounds of so. Say's it's just something that comes "NATURAL" to him.

| Nela, after thoroughlly reviewing your mathematical equations on guessin the weight of a catfish and carefully consulting with the famous catfisherman from g'ville, I have calculated the weight of my catfish to be 48lbs and 15oz! Thanks for your helpful advice! | |

| Flat Tater, I knew we could come up with a good guess on that fishes weight. 48 lbs 15 oz sounds about right to me. It appears as though I done pissed off the G'ville Catfish Guru by posting his famous formula for guessing a fishes weight but that's what he GETS for getting me kicked outta the Chat Room. (TWICE) But you know how the old fart gets when he get's in a "NATURAL" state of mind.

| had my best day on the river in a long time Sunday. Landed a 31# and a 40#. i had the best fish on i think was the best fish i ever had on a rod. I got it to the boat two times but not in the boat. got around the ancor rope and broke off. The ancor was hung and i had to cut the rope so lost the fish and ancor. | |
