Thanks Trublu, yeah the alligators have long been protected here too,, now they are getting pretty plentiful in places so they are opening up some short seasons on them and i had to apply for a permit and now i just have to wait to get drawn,,if i get drawn,,LOL

Scott, werent you sayin that you could only get one gater with the permit? and not many permits were allowed. I think thats what you said LOL

Pearl River/Ross Barnett (Zone A) - One hundred twenty (120) persons will be randomly drawn by computer to be eligible for a Alligator Possession Permit. Sixty (60) persons
will be permitted to hunt each of the 2, 3-day hunting seasons. Possession permits are not transferable.

Bag limit:
Each person receiving an Alligator Possession Permit will be allowed to harvest two (2) alligators four (4) feet in length or longer, only one (1) may exceed seven (7) feet in length.

Season Dates:

September 7-9, 2007
September 14-16, 2007
Legal Hunting Hours: 6:00 pm till 12:00 Midnight CST

yeah there fairl good ,,our freshys are a bugger for stealing fish ,

they swim with em too,but the salt water crocs farout man there some scary buggers ,,they leave the water and come and get ya out of ya tent and drag ya back down for a feed.

Over here, when we go campin (fishin) most of us bought a cap for our trucks an sleep in them, makes camping easier, dont have to pitch a tent, makes settin up and taken down camp easier. couple fellas bring generators to run fans an its pretty comfy.

Sorry to hear that Scott, I know you was lookin forward to it. Well, theres always next year. Kinda like the elk permits in NW arkansas , Might take a few years to get a permit.
